SITE OF SERVICE
Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Bethesda, Maryland.
Qualifications: The health care providers shall meet the general qualifications that apply to all health care providers and shall meet the following additional qualifications:
Must be a US Citizen
(a) A graduate of a Diploma, Associate, Bachelor or Master’s program of Registered Nursing. The institution will be
from a National League of Nursing (NLN) approved program.
(b) Certification and Licensure: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR); Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) if
required by assigned MTF, and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) if required by assigned MTF. Valid,
unrestricted, RN license at least 1 state, territory or commonwealth of the US.
(c) Fetal Monitoring Instruction Course (provided by assigned MTF) must be completed within sixty (60) days of
employment start date.
(d) Continuing Education: See base contract.
(a) Continuously employed in the practice of Registered Nurse for 5 years prior to start of work at the MTF, with at
least two years as an RN in a high risk Obstetrical Unit. Experience in the full spectrum of care to include L&D,
antepartum, triage, circulating during C-sections and post-partum care.
